Here are some clues: In the 1910 census, he is 39, a farmer, his mother Millie (or Miller?) is living with him. She was 60, widowed, had had 5 (or 6?) children, 4 were still living. She and her parents were b KY, as were Admiral's, according to this census. (He is listed in the index as Adwin J., but looking at the actual image, it appears to be Admiral.) HOUSE ADWIN J M W KY KY GARRARD 1-PCT 1910 Here he is in 1920: HOUSE ADMIRIAL 48 M W KY KY GARRARD COURT HOUSE 1-DIST 1920 He is 48, single, farmer, and living with him is a brother-in-law named Sites?, Siles? or Liles? CAYSE. I suppose this could be a sister's widowed husband since Admiral doesn't seem to have md. or had children.
