My very brickwall, Barnet Reid, 1833, sometimes went by Barney Reed, and first shows up in 1856 Rockcastle Co. Ky and then in 1860 Garrard Co. I'm thinking he is related to Jos. Barnet Reid who married Isabella Slavin and I see that your Millers have several of the same families that seem to surround my Barnett. Barnet used the name David Manuel Reed after the Civil War and its possible that he had the name Barnet David Manuel Reed. Does anyone have a clue how he might have fit into the families you are discussing? Thanks for any help!
