Tribune of the 8th Inst., says: On Monday last, Joseph Murphy was killed in Lancaster, Ky., by Jackson May. We understand that Murphy was sitting in the bar-room of Farris's Tavern, when May approached unseen by him and shot him in the head, producing almost instant death. May escaped and last accounts was still at large. In one of the affrays between the Hill and Evans parties several months ago since, a brother of May was killed by Murphy, and this we judge to be the cause of the difficulty between the two men. End.
