He was born around 1884, the son of Powell Dailey and Rebecca Davis Dailey, from Garrad County KY. He changed his name in the early 1900's to John Davis because of some scandal (possibly a murder) in Kentucky. He took his wife Katie Locker (also from Garrad County) and two children Jennie Mae & Grand Lee to Ohio where he lived out the rest of his life as John F. Davis. I just recently found out about this but have no other information. If anyone can help me I would be very grateful. Attached is a picture of Feniee Dailey in his early 20's taken in Garrad County Ky.
