    3. from the Lex HL 4.23.2007 Share old photos of the Bluegrass Do you have photos of Lexington and the Bluegrass from the middle part of the 20th century? If so, your memories could be part of a new photo book about life in Central Kentucky from the 1940s to the 1970s. Photos will be scanned in this week for the book Life in the Bluegrass: A Pictorial History 1940-1970. Just take your photos to one of the scanning sites. All photos will be returned to their owners. All types of photos are needed — sports teams, community events, school classes, family gatherings, buildings, parades, etc. Scanning will take place at the following locations: • Georgetown: 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday. Georgetown and Scott County Museum, 229 East Main Street. • Versailles: 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday. Woodford County Historical Society Museum, 121 Rose Hill. • Nicholasville: 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday. Jessamine County Historical Society, 216 North Main Street, Farmers Square. When the color of men's skin is of no more sigificance then the color of their eyes, men shall know true peace.

    3. Hi, This is very interesting. I have many wonderful photos my dad took while he was surveying all over Ky, and particularly in the Lexington area where I grew up. Unfortunately, I live in AL and can't get to a scanning area. I do have an excellent scanner and the best Adobe photo shop available if anyone accepts scanned photos.
