I was looking to confirm whether this Ona G. was the daughter of Angelina (Walden) and John Q. Adams. Turns out, it appears she is. So excited about that! This is just wonderful news. Nevertheless, I'm always interested to note whether there was another marriage. Given John's age, I would not have been surprised to learn that he had previously been married - even if just a year before his marriage to Ona. However, it looks like these are two different guys .. I believe I have found John P. on the 1880, 1900, and 1910 census in Garrard county. My Ona and John lived in Lancaster for a short while, but then wandered down the road to the Crab Orchard area, where they remained for the rest of their lives. Or so it appears. Hello everyone, Well, I finally got the parental information for John D. Prueitt - his death certificate says Father: James Prueitt, Mother: Mary Black, place of birth Garrard County. But his marriage certificate says Father: James Rice Prueitt, Mother: Catherine Black, place of birth Mercer County. I would think that since the death certificate informant is second hand (his daughter) that the information on the marriage certificate would probably be more accurate since John gives that himself? Anyways, I know they lived in Garrard County while my great grandmother (John's daughter) was growing up. So I need to find death or marriage information on James Prueitt and Mary or Catherine Black.
