I guess the censustaker just assumed "Alva" was a girl. In 1920, same place, Scott is 39, farmer, Bettie is 35, Lucile dau 17, Roy son 14, W. Jewel dau 12, Alvin [sic, now son] 10, C. Horace son 6, and P. Virginia dau 11 mos. They were living on Mt. Hebron Road or Pike. Some near neighbors listed as living on Baker Creek. PENDLETON, LEE 33 M W KY KY GARRARD BUCKEYE 1920 In 1920, Sallie is 34, the ch are Lillian 9, Stella Mae 8, and Bessie M. 5. Also with them is Lee's brother Gable 19. They are on Genger[?] Ridge (not sure of spelling). There was also a Lee A. Pendleton in Metcalfe and Adair Cos., in 1910 and 1920 resp. Wife Bettie, ch Thomas, Rollin and Joseph in 1920. Just wife Bettie in 1910.
