Col. Wm. Dudley. This was the Col. Dudley that was involved in "Dudley's Defeat". The men were ambushed at Ft. Meigs, OH by the Indians under British command. There were 1200 Kentuckians formed in 11 companies, 800 were detached to spike British guns, 220 killed, 350 captured and 118 escaped. The following names were in this company. I believe most in this company were from Garrard although some could have been from Madison and Lincoln. Date of muster: 2/27/1813, date terminated: 8/27/1813 Date of Ambush: 5/5/1813. Capt.
