    3. I would like to know whether anyone has access to marriage info concerning James BONER who mar. Catherine KINCADE in Garrard Co KY, 4 Mar 1877. Also, his son, Clarence, born 14 July, 1890 mar Pansie LEE, 15 July 1915, in Garrard KY. Would marriage record indicate race? These persons had ties to ROWE and MOORE familes -- possibly Native American or Mulatto. Any an all info appreciated. Virgene in northwest Indiana

    3. I don't have marriage reocrds but I found this in the 1920 census: 1920 > Kentucky > BOYLE > 7-PCT Series: T625 Roll: 558 Page: 217 BONER CLARENCE 29 M B KY KY BOYLE 7-PCT 1920. Lived on Lexington Pike, worked on a truck farm, was with wife Pansy 22, and dau Gertrude 5 mos., all listed as black, all b KY, parents all b Ky. They may well have been part white or Native American though - "racial" classification was and is an iffy thing at best. See below. ============================================== 1870 > Kentucky > GARRARD > BRYANTSVILLE Series: M593 Roll: 463 Page: 456 BONER JAMES 13 M B KY KY GARRARD BRYANTSVILLE 1870 This lad was living with a white Isaac? J. Myers family as a laborer. Two other blacks in the house were Julia Alford, 35, no occupation, and James Alford 7.
