Does anyone on the list know how I should go about obtaining information on the following? Garrard County Index to Circuit Court Chancery Suits 1799-1865 Susan SLAUGHTER vs Green SLAUGHTER (93-371-2861) Bk 24-545, Aug 1865 Is there a county archives that would have this information, or would I need to write to the Garrard courthouse? Robyn, I'm not sure if anyone got back to you on this. But, I was recently informed that the place to check for Garrard Co. Circuit Court Chancery Suits is the Kentucky State Archives in Frankfort, KY. My question for this List is this the same place as the Kentucky Historical Society and, if not, what is the address??? The Archives in Frankfort and the Historical Society are two totally different things...both have wonderful research materials. The Archives is located on a hill across the KY River from the State Capitol...on Coffee Tree Rd. The Historical Society is downtown. Sharon Young Jebavy <>< [email protected]

Robyn, Francis Carson Hubert, Carson Family researcher, reported that Katy Slaughter was the wife of John Zachary Carson, born 28 Feb. 1874. Her sister, Capitola Slaughter was the first wife of Dave Carson Holman, born 26 Nov. 1878. The Slaughter family home was on Sommerset Road, across from the Crab Orchard Springs Hotel Resort and Springs, a few miles from Crab Orchard, Ky. Are these sisters related to your Slaughters?
