JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON RAYMOND ANDERSON FROM THE DAYTON (OH) DAILY NEWS 8/21/07 Raymond D. Anderson, a devoted follower of Christ passed away peacefully at his home in Springboro, OH on August 19, 2007. He was born on August 12, 1927 in Lancaster, KY to the late Joe and Hazel Anderson. He retired from General Motors in 1982 after 30 years of service. He served in the United Army in the Airborne Regiment as a paratrooper in 1946 and 1947. He was a lover of nature and the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and camping. He is survived by his wife, Opal of 55 years; a daughter, Rovonda (Don) Daniels; two grandchildren, David Bush and Beth (Jimmy) McDade; three great grandchildren, Andrew, Trevor, and Emma; three sisters Lillie Hume, Helen Osborne, and Edwina (Bobby) King all of KY. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gwendolyn and two grandchildren, Jeremy and Sara; a brother Ralph and sister, Virginia. Funeral services will be August 22, 2007 at 11:00 am with Rev. Bruce Cornett officiating at Anderson Funeral Home (40 North Main Street, Springbor! o, OH) Visitation will be August 21, 2007 from 5-8 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery.
