Her husband Daniel was a very respected military man. He served during several Indian campaigns in Pennsylvania prior to the French & Indian War. He also served during the American Revolution under the command of St. Clair and Mad Anthony Wayne. Daniel Ford was born Daniel Faure. He was the son of Pierre Faure and Judith Maxey. Pierre was a Huegenot. Judith Maxey was a descendant of Henry Maxey and Anne Adair of the Jamestown, Virginia Settlement of 1607.
