Although his name was Coleman, he also had a grandfather with the nickname of Cole. From what I know Zerulda Cole James had no full blooded siblings. Her father died before she was born. Her mother left her right after her birth and she was raised by her grandfather Richard Cole Jr. at Midway, Kentucky. When she was about twelve (I think) her mother came back from Missouri with a new husband and took custody of her.
