And, it is good when one offers some degree of uncertainty so that there might be further consideration. I also have some data on the family of John and Mary Yarbrough Murphy. I have 14 James Murphys in my data base and I can see why the James Murphy marriages can be confusing for a few of them. I have James Murphy, son of John and Mary Yarbrough Murphy as first marrying Elizabeth Hammack/Hammock bond date 21 Aug. 1822 in Garrard Co. ; Elizabeth was a dau. of William and Jane Long Hammack/Hammock and that she died on 8 Jun. 1843. I have that they had 6 children, the last one born abt. 1842. The same James Murphy, by my list, married 2nd Paulina East, bond date 30 Oct. 1844. she was a dau. of Josiah East and possibly his wife, Sally Storms. The James Murphy born 1834 must have married another Paulina East. The marriage of the first James to a Paulina was in 1844 and certainly not to the James born abt. 1834 or at age 10.. Does supplier have a marriage date for the James Murphy born 1834? One other problem. Barzella/Burzella/Brazilla, etc., I have married to Samuel Boyle on the same date, 4 Apr. 1823 in Garrard Co. as given for Brazilla marrying a William Ray. (I know that the Murphy Cem. gives Barzilla Murphy and says she was wife of William Ray. Would this be a William Ray Murphy? I can find no marriage or reference to these two except by the guesses placed in the Murphy Cem. with few dates listed. The surveyor of this cem. had often placed names in other cemeteries when they were actually in a cem. outside the State. That is the problem with taking someone's opinion or guess. Having said this, I reserve the right to be in error, it is an easy thing to do.
