    3. Here are some possible Bassel (sp.?) Bakers, relatives, namesakes, etc. from the census indexes I have. I don't have 1830-1850 which would have been a big help, esp. 1850. Let me know if one of these is a likely candidate for yours and I can look up his census details. Basil Baker served in Co. E of the 47th KY Mounted Inf. (US) in the Civil War. There are no given names Binjin indexed with any surname in KY and no Binjin Bakers anywhere in the US in any census to which I have an index. I suspect he was a Benjamin, of whom there are many. He may also be listed under B. or Ben Baker, or his other given name, or even a nickname. Or he may have died young, or it could be a very bad transcription of some other name altogether <sigh>. --- "E.A. Somewhere between 1880 and 1930 James moved to Garrard Co. specifically Paint Lick. Also somewhere in bewteen he married Sara B. ?, together they had Jack Cheek (my greatgrandfather), Ethel Cheek, and were looking after their grandson Sherman. If anyone has any info on them please let me know. I can find them on the 1930 census, but like I said between 1880 and 1930 I don't know where they were. Thanks, Craig

    2. Sharon Young Jebavy
    3. Since I have some new information on my William Young family, I think it is time to post once more to see if I can connect with any other researchers. I have recently been sent several pages from a book for which I have searched for at least five years by Lora Cooley Hamill. I knew that this author knew details that I did not know about my William. I found clues in another researchers notes years ago. In this book the author says that my William was married three times and died in KY in 1818. She identifies two of his sons...Robert, b. 1763 and James, b. 1803 (different mothers). (I am wondering if this could be the Robert and James who were at the Young Salt Works in Floyd Co. in the 1700s?! Or are they the ones from Cumberland Co., KY?!) My ancestor, Thomas, was another of William's sons. Thomas married Elizabeth Hughes, d/o Col. William Hughes, on May 18, 1795 in Lincoln Co., KY. The part of Lincoln Co. where William settled became Garrard Co. and he died there in 1818. I have never been able to identify either of William's three wives or all of his children. Neither have I ever found anyone else working on this line. I would so LOVE to find other researchers working on the William Young family and share my vast Young knowledge with them. I can take the family back to about the year 800. Sharon Young Jebavy <>< [email protected]
