She was born September 7 1845 and died July 2 1907 in Garrard County, Kentucky. Rosey was a schoolteacher in Garrard County, Ky before she married. She married Zachariah T Teater September 17, 1867 and they lived on Wolf Trail, in Buckeye section of Garrard Co., KY. They had 12 children and 31 grandchildren, 2 of whom are still alive. I have photos of their tombstones and also a tintype of Zack & Rosey with their firstborn, Allen Thomas Teater taken in 1868. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Also found him as son of James N. Hardin and Mary Susan "Polly" Chasteen. These two sets of Hardin's are not related. Found marriage license at courthouse no parents names stated. Your g uncle Squire Level was the slave owner of my ggrandfather Daniel. He took him to Camp Nelson July, 1865 to enlist in the United States Colored Troops. In order for African Americans to adequately research their slave ancestors it is necessary to research the slave owners. Do you have any info on Squire specifically? Can we talk?
