    1. Re: [KYGARRAR] Bio of Joseph P. Turner b. 1836 son of William &Rolinda Hurt Turner
    2. GT
    3. Does the Joseph Turner you seek have a middle imitial of T or P? The 1860 census shows a Joseph P. Turner in William and Rolinda's household as age 23 and a teacher. The 1870 census for William and Rolinda Turner shows a 12 year old Joseph Turner in their household and a William Turner 22 as a teacher. Also in the 1870 census is a J. P. Turner age 32, wife Servina 23 and nine mo. old Horace. Additionally, William and Rolinda Turner are buried in the Buckeye Cem., not in the Lancaster Cem. So, apparently your Joseph is not a child of William and Rolinda. He gave his age as 24 and his birthplace as Kentucky. He was in the household of John & Eliza MYERS and worked as a laborer on their farm. I have a Jacob SCARBRO or SCARBROUGH who married in 1855 in Crawford County, Indiana. He was born in Kentucky and was the same age as the Jacob on the 1850 Garrard census. Unfortunately, he died sometime between 1860-1870 leaving his widow (Nancy) and young children (Moses, Sarah, Mary & Louisa). Am wondering if these two Jacobs are the same man.
