George, Have you read through the History of Franklin County, Ky, by L. F. Johnson, B.A., M.A.? I have the 1912 edition of this book and a Ben B. Bennett is mentioned as serving in the Mexican War. This would be much later than those you are seeking. There is also a mention of a Judge by the name of Caswell Bennett. There are many records at the LDS FHC's for Franklin County, Kentucky. You've probably exhausted all of the above sources, but I thought I would at least take a moment to respond to your query. Best of luck with breaking down or going around your wall. He shows up in the 1801 tax index and 1810 census. Possibly had two siblings a Richard and Benjamin Bennett. I believe the family came originally from Ireland move to Virginia and then ware pioneers in early Franklin county. Any information on this family would be appreciated. Also would like to know more about Susannah Ward's family ...sometime I have seen her mentioned as Susannah Wade. John is my research brick wall so any help would be appreciated.
