Hi, The best places to check are the State Archives. They may be able to tell you if they have the naturalization papers. You may even find them on the LDS films for the county he was living in. I found my gr. grandfather's Intention for Citizenship that he filled out. I found that on the LDS film for the county he was living in upstate NY. He never became a citizen as he died 1 year before becoming eligible. The next 2 places are NARA. You can either try the regional NARA office that handles the papers for several states in a region or you can try the one in Washington, DC. I got my grandfather's Naturalization papers through the regional office of Waltham, MA. Where would be the best place to look for his naturalization record? His future wife, Briget Sullivan, came a few years before he did. Both came from County Cork. Thanks, Bill B.
