Virginia, Saw the request from Roberta today and didn't realize that someone had access to the Frankfort Cemetery book! I have been trying to find one of my relatives and there seems to be dozens of them by the same name, go figure. I have a John Harrod, born June 1859 in Franklin Co, KY. He was married to Susan Margaret Rearden (born 4-27-1965 died 1-30-1927). SHE is buried in Frankfort Cemetery and I was hoping that perhaps HE was buried next to her. Hello Beta: According to my book "Index of the Frankfort Cemetery" published December 2005, which is a white soft-cover book published by the cemetery and listing all burials (including those in unmarked graves): There is a Susan Harrod is buried in Section O, lot/row 20, grave 50. She was interred on 01 February 1927. I believe this may be your Susan Margaret (Rearden) Harrod. My book does not contain information on her birth date, death date, age at death or marital status (such information is provided for many burials, just not that particular one). There are several persons named John Harrod buried in this cemetery, but none that appear to be "yours." Here is their information: John Harrod, Section E, lot 47-S, grave 3, interred 06 Oct 1935, unmarked grave. John Harrod, lot 1978, single grave, interred 28 Oct 1929, unmarked grave. John Crutcher Harrod, Section T, lot 1C, grave 4, interred 30 Dec 1994, born 24 July 1899, died 28 Dec 1994, age 95, male, married, gravemarker; buried next to his wife Margaret M. Harrod (06 Nov 1904 - 01 Mar 1984) John Leslie Harrod, Section U, row 21, grave 8, interred 26 April 1956, born 06 Sept 1885, died 24 April 1956, age 71, male, unmarried, gravemarker. John Lillard Harrod, section AA, lot 12 B1, grave 1, interred 14 Jan 1984, born 26 Sept 1902, died 12 Jan 1984, 81 year old male, married, gravemarker; buried alongside his wife Evelyn Harrod. John Robert Harrod, section S, lot 26 D, grave 2, interred 30 June 1965, born 25 Jan 1885, died 27 June 1965, 80 year old male, married, gravemarker; buried alongside his wife Leonia Quire Harrod. John S. Harrod, section C, lot 32, interred 24 Nov 1913, unmarked grave. As I scanned the book, I noted other Harrods buried in Section O, near Susan Harrod -- since they are probably related, here is their information: Catherine Louise Harrod, section O, row 20, grave 49, interred 26 Dec 1924, born 12 Dec 1924, died 25 Dec 1924, grave marker. Grace E. Harrod, section O, row 20, grave 48, interred 14 Dec 1924, born 19 Nov 1893, died 31 Dec 1924, age 31 years. (NOTE: the interment date in my book is obviously wrong, since she could not have been buried before she died. Perhaps you could contact the cemetery to determine the correct date of interment; according to my blue-bound book that lists only burials with gravemarkers, the death date indicated on the gravemarker is 31 Dec 1924).
