Thanks for all the information, it does give me a few leads to work on. A couple of observations though. If you notice that in the 1900 census William Hamilton is listed as 79 year yet his birth year is in listed as 1930, this census taker obviously is mathmatically challenged. As to the 1850 Census, it is uncertain who H. NATION is. G.W NATION is interesting because his wife's name is Melvina. William Hamilton NATION name one of his daughters Louisa Melvina. Since William Hamilton NATION and Elizabeth DAVIS had 15 children (only of them are known), it is unknown whether Louisa Melvina was the first daughter or not. As for G.W. NATION he was born about 1811, he would have been only 9 years old at the time of William Hamilton NATIONs birth. I am wondering if G.W. NATION and William Hamilton NATION are brothers. And if H. NATION is William Hamilton NATION and he married Elizabeth DAVIS in 1848, where is Elizabeth? Regards, Lance
