    3. Another thought occurs Lance, Some of the later descendents of this Nation clan also ended up in Illinois, according to another online tree. Sangamon, is the city to be exact, but no idea in which county it resides. This person was Henry Harrison Nation (name connection?) born 28 Jan 1881 and died 17 Jan 1969 in Springfield. The online tree does not list Henry's father, but it did list him as the grandson of John Thomas Nation, who was the son of John Branscom, who was the son of John, who was the son of Joseph, Jr. Just another line in which to take a look. I have seen several Nation family members in the cemeteries of Shelby County and Spencer County. These two countys are located to the West of Fraklin County. He married Elizabeth DAVIS of Menard County, Illinois in 1848, again according to the obituary. I have not been able to find the marriage in Illinois nor the family in the 1850 Census. At this point I would like to find out anything I can on the NATION families in Franklin County, in the hopes of finding a clue on the origins of William Hamilton NATION.
