Bob, I forgot to mention that there are no Demars in the Forks of Elkhorn Church book, but there is one mention of Sarah Demaree who married James Guillion in Henry County in 1805. You might want to check Henry County for Demar. Delilah Demar 1832 Does anyone know anything about the Thomas Foster who married Delilah Demar on 20 Dec. 1832 in Franklin Co.? I've tried to conect him with the other early Foster families in Franklin and surrounding counties, but so far I have been unsuccessful. I believe these are the same Thomas (b. VA 1803) and Delilah (b. NC 1802) Foster who were in Bedford Co., Tennessee by the 1850 census, but I can't be absolutely certain. It is believed that his father was the Samuel Foster (b. VA 1783) who was also living in Beford Co. at the same time, but again, this is not proven. Samuel may have been an uncle, or even an older brother. Thomas and Delilah had the following children: Sarah, Elizabeth, Lucinda Melvina, Alexander, James W., Susan, and Frances Ellen. The family moved to Madison Co., Arkansas before the 1860 census.
