    3. Thank you for the reply and the information. Do you have any leads on the Father of William Hayden Shelton? I'd surely love to solve that problem. We do indeed have the same family.............I can add many facts to your list............I'm 1200 miles from home right now, but do have some in my memory,,,,,,,,then more later. William Hayden Shelton died June 12, 1921, and is buried at Moffett Cemetery, Milton KY. ***I have his wife as Ann Mary Jacobs**** but have been unable to locate a marriage license or record of them. Tho' I do know the Hunt family is in the mix. William Hayden was living in the Samuel Hunt household for the 1850 census. Mrs Hunt's maiden name was Shelton. The Jacobs name comes from verbal conversation with a granddaughter of Wm. Hayden. Alva and Ethia Shelton were twins.........but my memory does not have the birthdates. Generation 2 Elza Thomas Shelton m.Sarah Frances Lusby, dau. of Younger Pitts Lusby and Mary Catherine Quisenberry. Younger died in 1872 in a lumbering accident. Elza and Sarah Frances were 16 and 17 yrs old when they married.................there are many glowing newspaper articles about their anniversaries and birthdays. A model couple. I met Elza Thomas when I first married into the Raker family. Oldest daughter of Elza and Sarah was Nannie Belle, b. in Owen Co. She married Robert Bledsoe Knox, and they settled in the Madison, IN area.....in the 1920's. Their daughter Mabel Katherine m. John Raker, and it's their son who is my husband. vii. Hayden Shelton, b. 1896 was killed at the end of WWI, and is buried at Arlington Nat'l Cem. From which of William Hayden's children do you descend? I'm happy to share any of my information.............my files, as I said are a long way from me...........I'll be back there on 25 May. Phyllis
