Hello Jim: These listings are taken from the blue-bound book "Frankfort Cemetery . . . in Kentucky" published 1988 by The Kentucky Genealogical Society, "A compilation of names and dates on all gravemarkers in the Frankfort Cemetery" (Frankfort, Franklin County, KY). This book is out of print and difficult to find, except in libraries and historical societies. There is a white-bound book published in the past by the cemetery which contains a listing of all burials, even those without markers. Unfortunately, I do not have a copy of the white bound book. I believe the Kentucky Historical Society in Frankfort has copies of both these books. Frankfort Cemetery was established about 1845 -1846. In the 1870's a fire destroyed records of earlier lot sales and burials; a few lot deeds were recorded in the Franklin County Clerk's office. The introduction to the blue bound book mentions that there are "numerous burials in the Cemetery without markers. In some cases, information about these may be obtained from the Cemetery office." Also in the introduction to the blue-bound book, mention is made of an earlier Frankfort Cemetery, still preserved and now called Bellevue Cemetery located " around the hilltop on Leestown Pike . . . in the Thorn Hill area, between US 421 and Fifth Street." It contains burials before 1845. I do not know of any compilation of these graves. There are no listings for the surname Ware. ---------------------- There are several listings for the surname Parrish (pages 200, 270, 303, 448, and 464).
