    3. It was mentioned in a post from [email protected] that a film of earlier(before 1911) Franklin county deaths was available. *******Where could I locate and view this film?********* I am looking for information on the KNOX family who lived in Franklin Co. in the 1800 - 1810's (give or take a bit). Have an ancestor born 1810 KY, I believe it will be Franklin co. I can not prove his parents. Austin KNOX, b. 1810 KY, married in 1834, in Gallatin Co. to Susan Ann ELLISTON Castleman. I firmly believe that he is part of the family of Robert Knox, b. 1758 Balleymoney Ireland, who came with parents James KNOX and Lady Elizabeth Craig into Chester Co South Carolina. Robert came into Franklin Co., died 1836 in Gallatin/Carroll Co. and is a lone grave on a hilltop, with Revolutionary War marker , in Carroll Co Kentucky. First wife was Elizabeth Gill, whom he married in South Carolina. She is said to have died about 1809. About six children in this marriage. I again firmly believe Austin Knox is the son of Robert or of Robert's oldest son, James, b. 1785 in SC.......died 1868 and is buried in Ghent KY. Second wife of Robert was Millie/Mildred Buckannon, m in 1817. ---more children. Last child born when Robert was 72 years old. So all of that throws off the generations!!!! My Austin is on the estate settlement of second wife in 1860/1861. Have searched for wills and estate settlements in Gallatin and Carroll Counties for Robert, James, and also in Owen Co. for Austin. Found nothing. Thanks for any help..................................I'm most willing to share what I have on the KNOX people. Phyllis Counts Raker

    3. I found it at Mid-Continent Library in Independence, MO. I am sure they probably have it at the Kentucky Historical Society, too, but didn't check there. Funny, since we spent 2 weeks there before we went to Independence. There is so, so much at the KY Historical Society. I would highly recommend it for anyone doing KY research. It is my favorite place to research, anywhere!
