Hi Lynda. I was born in Frankfort, KY but I don't recall an orphanage in Franklin County. I do remember an insane asylum on Main Street that is now occupied by the State Records Building. Do you live in Franklin County? I moved away in 1961 but most of my relatives still live there. I go back to visit every year or two. I will ask my cousins if they remember an orphanage by the name of Kennebec Hall. Will get back to you as soon as I get an answer.
