I reconstructed another Buford line that encompass eight states - from Florida to Kansas and Texas. Over 40 pages in my Microsoft Word. It is a monster and took me a long time in researching. I want to thank all of you who gave me a helping hand along the way - you know who you are.... Hope you all had a Great Winter and are now starting to enjoy Spring. Lon, I've tried emailing from Ancestry to you copies of the images of her death information including the death certificate which lists Cedar Grove, Kentucky for burial, cremation or removal and the date of 6-20-1941. The funeral director was also a Cassity from Stamping Ground, Kentucky. Hope they come through for you. According to my reading of the image of her death certificate (on Ancestry.com in their section on KY deaths), her maiden name was Juett, her parents were Michael Juett and Susan Shipp, she was widowed, her residence was 306 Shelby, Frankfort, Franklin Co, KY. She was born 31 Oct 1875 (so was age 76) in Owen Co, KY. Immediate cause of death was arterio sclerosis due to hypertension; she also had ____(illegible) epilepsy. Undertaker was Rogers Funeral Home in Frankfort and burial place was Rest Haven Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson Co, KY. Death recorded in Franklin Co, KY Volume 5, certificate 2306. I'm researching Presley Arnold of Franklin County in hopes of finding a connection between Presley and my 2nd great grandfather, Lewis Arnold. Presley was one of several children of Benjamin and Sally Arnold. It appears the entire family arrived in Franklin County in the very early 1800's from the state of Virginia. Presley married Sally Clements in Franklin County on March 11, 1817 and they had 8 children. I believe one of those children was Lewis. I discovered a Presley Arnold (born in Virginia) in the 1850 census living in Indianapolis and married to Sarah along with 4 children. (Are Sarah and Sally Clements the same person?) Presley apparently died in the 1850's because Sarah appears without a husband in the 1860 census for Indianapolis. Two grown sons are living with her. >From 1850 through 1880, Presley or his widow, Sarah, appear in the census very near my ancestor, Lewis Arnold. Lewis was born in Kentucky about 1827, making his age consistent with the children of Presley listed in the 1830 and 1840 censuses. I have lots of circumstantial evidence linking Lewis and Presley but no hard proof. I'd be happy to accept any information about Presley Arnold and his family but have two specific questions: 1. Does anyone have further information about Presley's wife, Sally Clements? Could she have been known as Sarah? 2. Has anyone researched Presley's children far enough to prove that Lewis was one of them? I'll share anything I've gathered on Lewis Arnold and his descendents. Thanks in advance for any help.
