I never read the name Talt Hall in the book, but there was a character that was due to be hanged, but was shot instead by his own kin. The young man that was to marry the main female character was killed in San Francisco, after moving there with his family. I am now reading another John Fox Jr book entitled "Purple Rhodedendrum", and so far nothing mentions any of the Halls. I will ask my library for a copy of the "Four Men of the Cumberlands" also. These books are only on loan, and none are for sale...is there a place that I can purchase copies of them?
