I based that on the fact that number of children in the 1820 for this aunt and uncle increased from the 1810 census by the number of children that Caleb and his wife, Nancy, had on the 1810 census. Caleb's children later married in Ohio and Virginia. Based on all the information I have been able to find, I believe that Caleb was only visiting Floyd County when he died.
