There is some validity in some of the older research, but be careful using this as your source. I know personally. My entire family for several generations is listed in that book and not one name or date is correct. I knew Mr. Akers well. Mr. Akers came to my house, and the house of numerous relatives of mine, many years ago and wrote down the info before he published the books. Not one thing was transcribed correctly, not even my own name. Check and recheck before including any of that material as a documentary source.
