It appeared in The Paintsville Herald, Paintsville, Johnson Co, KY on Thu 6 Mar 1930. The shootout took place on 23 Feb 1930. Article thanks to Glenna Faye Woods of the Big Sandy Community and Technical College Library. What the article does not mention is that my great uncle only had one eye.
