Your last post coincides with my history. Jesse Hall b. 1838, Scott Co., VA. m. Victoria Coleman 3/29/1860 Floyd Co., KY Jesse was the son of: William (Billy) Hall b. 1804 in NC. d. Jan. 1883 (Miles Hall Cem., Branham Ck., Floyd Co., KY. He married 1) Elizabeth Rhea 1/5/1829 in Scott Co., VA. (daughter of Sarah Rhea. 2) He married Mary (Polly) Bowen Aft. 1866 William Hall is the son of Nimrod Hall & Mary (Polly) Sturgill. The Akers in "Halls" of Mud/Muddy Creek says Polly's surname was Smith instead of Sturgill. (There are records that Nimrod sold some property in 1867) *My records are faded on notes about Nimrod. But, from what I can read Mary Polly also used the name Polly Sturgeon to marry Tolbert Akers in 1831. It looks like Mary "Polly" and William Hall were 1st cousins. Mary (Polly) Hall b. abt. 1806 is the daughter of Reuben Hall and Nancy Branham Smith. Reuben Hall b. abt. 1781 in NC, and died aft. 1862 in KY. m. Nancy Branham Smith abt. 1804 in VA (?) Reuben is the son of Mesias Hall b 4/18/1775 in Wilkes Co., NC. d. 1861 in Branhams Creek, Floyd Co., KY. He married Unisiah Branham Smith in 1794 in Scott Co., VA. She was the daughter of John Smith and Susannah Scarborough. (maybe they were cousins to the Smiths too?) Mesias was the son of Jesse Hall and Candicce (Dicy)m. abt. 1767. Jesse Hall was born abt. 1746 in Johnathon Creek, Luenburg, Halifax, VA. Jesse is the son of Thomas Hall who is noted to be 1st generation Hall. This is as far as my info goes. I'm now looking for info on Thomas Hall 1st generation. I'm not sure where he migrated from, but I'd like to know. I won't be convinced he's 1st generation until I find out. My family history also shows all of the siblings of the above mentioned. I do not have an electronic copy. I'm working on that. It's probably already online and I just have to find it. We'll see.
