There is a marriage recorded in Logan Co WV for 4-23- 1897 for a HENRY HALCOMB Age 30 "Widowed" (This is the puzzling part) Born in Owsley Co KY to a MARY VANCE Age 20 Born in Logsn. His parents: WM & E. BANKS. Her psrents: FLYD VANCE and ANN C.....? When I googled the name "William Halcomb Owsley Co KY" I came up with the genealogy of WILLIAM HALCOMB and ELIZABETH CHRISTIAN with a child of HENDERSON HALCOMB born in 1867.
