I have most of the information that you mentioned in your reply, the only problem is I haven't been able to find "the source" that says who John Franklin's parents were. On most public trees his parents are listed as Old Abe and Lucy Vaughan but there is no source. Then I found a thread where a bible was found naming John Franklin's grandfather, as Mathew Franklin from England, but the person who posted that hasn't gotten back to me on that after several tempted emails....
