Hands that at a very young age, hoed corn on the rocky hillsides of Kentucky as a young teenager. They did a man's job of loading crossties and at the age of 18, went to work in the hot mills of Empire Steel (now A.K.) spending over 38 years doing each and every job that came their way. Learning steel making from the ground up and retiring as foreman in 1987. Bill was born March 20, 1930, the son of Elmon and Martha (Baldridge) Sesco, in Floyd County, Kentucky. Bill was an outdoors person. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and mowing his lawn. One of his greatest joys was to be in the woods on a cool, frosty morning squirrel hunting. He felt blessed when four generations of Sesco's went hunting together. He belonged to various clubs and enjoyed all the friends he made, especially his good friends of the Meijer coffee club. Dear to his heart were his two grandsons, Dr. Tim (Sharon) and Jamie (Tarra); his great grandchildren, Ashley, Cody, Corey, and Alicia; and his precious great great grandson, Carter. Along with his grandchildren, he leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Glenna; his son, Dr. William (Tammaie); daughter, Linda; sisters-in-law, Naomi, Evelyn and Pat Sesco, Lilly Hodges, Leola Kauffman, Pauline (Ron) Ramsey, Loretta (Wilbur) Hockensmith, and Mary Jane Riddle; sisters, Betty (Walter) Cox and Rose (Jim) Shulte; many good friends; and cherished nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Vernon, Elmon Jr., Bob, Elbert, and Charles; three sisters, Jewel Bowling, Anna Caudill, and Ellen Henery; mother-in-law, Isa Riddle Garrett; brothers-in-law, Earl Kauffman, Medford Riddle, Raymond Jordan, J.E. Caudill, and Chester Bowling. The family thanks MedCentral Hospice nurses and home care for taking good care of Bill during his last days. There will be no services held at this time.
