JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON GUS ELLIOTT FROM THE DAYTON (OH) DAILY NEWS 2/25/09 Gus G. Elliott, Age 81 of Dayton, OH passed away February 22, 2009 in Dallas, TX. Gus was born February 9, 1928 in Martin, KY to Lona and Vernon Elliott. He grew up in Martin and moved to Dayton, OH after graduating high school and serving in the Marine Corps. Gus was a tool and die maker. He apprenticed at American Gauge and worked for Continental Can, Tipp City Tool, and retired from Adena Tool in 1993. Preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Marietta, a son, Marty, and two brothers Olin, and Wiley. Survived by his son, Gus Jr., daughter-in-law, Randi, three grandchildren: Gus III, Aaron and Lindsey; half-brother Pat Hayes and half-sister Barbara Petersen. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. February 27, 2009, at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "North Dayton Chapel", 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Pastor Rob Wackerman, officiating. Interment Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. February 26, 2009 at the George C. Martin Funeral Home. !
