Yes I am aware of Charles Wells Book, The Annals of Floyd Co. I have read the book. His book is available in the Denver Public Library here in Colorado where I live and I am sure it is available in libraries in Kentucky. Charles Wells stopped at a certain time frame in his book James Alan Williams, continued with court records, where Mr.Wells left off, and some of these court records were discovered in archives at the courthouse and no one had ever seen them before, including Mr.Wells. Wells published a book entitled "Annals of Floyd County, Kentucky 1800-1824". This book was published in 1983 and has been a great resource for many researchers over the years. The contents are: Deed Book A & B, County Court Books, 1, 2, 3, & 4 and the Marriage Bonds for 1808-1826. My understanding is that the book is no longer available for sale. Copies are in most of the Kentucky Historical Libraries as well as Floyd, Johnson and many of the eastern Kentucky counties. In a message dated 7/11/2009 4:51:32 P.M.
