All I could immediately find was the 1940 census that lists: Willie Hall, first grade education, age 28, lives on Highway 122 (Floyd County), laborer Stella Hall, 4th grade eduction, age 23 children:  Alene, Glenn, Irene, Earnest, Caroll the household next to them is a Jeff Thacket with wife and one child Although I've found Stella Osborne listed in other Hall family trees, they do not show her as married to anyone.  Do you have proof of their marriage that would show something more about him?
