The only Claiborne Jones in my records is the third son of John Ray Jones and Satira Stanley. He is the brother of Nathaniel Teller Jones (Jr), James C. Jones, Ambrose Jones, Lemuel Jones and others from Floyd County, Ky. He is not the infamous feudist and he is not the son of a Rebecca Arnold, who is often attached inaccurately to this family. I have a pretty good list of the children of Ambrose Jones of Floyd County, Ky (born abt 1836) from both of his wives and I do not have a Claiborne. I have seen a different, older Ambrose Jones who was a soldier, but I have no link to my Ambrose...though the name Ambrose is not all that common.
