Dear List Members: I am searching for the correct citation for the following court event. July 1819: Floyd Co., Kentucky Court Records: Ruth Ford, wife of Joseph Ford is now and has been for 15 years, a lunatic, which we supposed to have been occasioned by trouble from the cause of two of her children. She also had from a fall from a horse 3 years ago been cripple in one of her legs. Court allows $25 per quarter to her husband for her support as he has assets at no more than $20. I have looked through the court records available to me and either missed the citation or was in the wrong body of court records. If any individual is able to provide the appropriate citation or identify the court at which the above event most likely occurred, I would appreciate that information. Ruth Ford does not appear on the index to these court records. Perhaps I should review the court of common pleas again page by page????
