Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/pAB.2ACI/5329.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: In the 1850 Edgar County Illinois census, "Emeily Martin" is living with Jonathan Mayo age 57 from Patrick County Virginia and Mary age 47 from Floyd Co Kentucky. Emily is 24 at this time. We thought she probably was related but I suppose it is possible she isn't. Jonathan is listed at a farmer and thre is another Milton Mayo age 28 born in Edgar Co IL listed as a shoe maker. That's what I was basing my supposition on. I know that Emily had a brother named Major H. Wood Martin who also came from Floyd County. Nothing in their obituaries refers to parents but Emily's says she is the last of 5 children.
