Rhodes was the son of Harrison Newsom III from Pike County, my great-grandfather. Rhodes was born in 1882 when Harrison was married to Victoria Bridgman, but I don't believe he was Victoria's son because my mom remembers her uncle calling him his half brother. I've been trying to find out who his mother really was, or if it really was Victoria. Harrison was married before Victoria, to Syltania Hamilton (probably related to Louvina) but Rhodes was born after she died. Rhodes and Syltania had three children who married Hamiltons: Emma married Hibbard Hamilton, Arena married Solomon Hamilton and Louvina married John Wesley Hamilton. Do you know when Rhodes died??
