Surnames: Jones Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/pAB.2ACI/5204 Message Board Post: I am interested in information on Evan Jones: how he is related to my GGGrandfather, William Melchizedek Jones, and where Evan came from in Wales. Evan is listed on the 1850 Floyd Co. Census in the same household with my GGGrandfather. Since they were also both born in Wales, close in age, with the same last name, I wonder if they are brothers or cousins. My GGgrandfather later moved to Breathitt Co. and is buried there. I see that Evan had a large family, and, I think, based on the 1880 census, that his son , James Jones, was a marshall in Prestonsburg. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.
