I have very limited information but based on the grandson of Garfield he was married to Ellen Gayheart and had Edith Collins b Feb 21, 1909, Quentin, Edna, Jackie, Orphia and Kermit (not sure on order or dob of other children). This is an excerpt of the family history (from his grandson) we have on Garfield "I don't remember if I told you that his Grandfather Collins took off in his Jenny plane one day and was never heard from after that. They don't know if he crashed or just disappeared and started a new life somewhere else." This could be the same Garfield based on that information and Edith was in the Johnson County, Ky Census in 1930. Do you think it is possible this could be the same Garfield? I would guess his dob to be bef 1890.
