Rick, We may have "spoken" before on the McGee family. Check all various spellings of McGee: MackGehee/McGhee/Magee/Megee/McGee also check McKee/McKey. I believe that Merreman/Merriman/Merryman McGee is the father of Elizabeth "Betsy" McGee and William McGee. See Joseph Bryant and Betsy McGee marriage bond below. I believe you should look for Joseph and Betsy McGee Bryant in Scott Co. VA as Merriman McGee is there in 1830. See records below. I hope this helps.
