Does anyone have a complete listing of the Newman Cemetery in Hi Hat, KY? I'm trying to see if Siltany (Newman) Lambert is listed. Shed died Apr. 5, 1914, and her death certificate lists "Place of Burial or Removal: John T Newman g yrd". The lady I believe is her mother, Elizabeth (Newman) Tackett was buried in the Newman Cemetery, Hi Hat, KY when she died 04 Jun 1960. Thanks, Delsey in Southern Ohio

I am trying to make a connection with Elizabeth Newman, who married (m. 01 Jun 1921) Freeman Nelson Tackett, to my Siltania Newman that listed her mother as (Liz) Elizabeth Newman on her death certificate (Siltania died 05 April 1914, years earlier). The information on Elizabeth (Newman) Tackett's death certificate... Place of death: Hi Hat, Floyd, KY Name: Elizabeth Tackett Date: June 4, 1960 Sex: F Race: White Widowed Date of Birth: Nov. 29, 1872 Age: 87 Birth Place: KY Father: Hogan Newman Mother: Judy Turner Cause of Death: Medical as directed - old age Was an autopsy performed? No Buried June 6, 1960 in Newman Cemetery, Hi Hat, KY Funeral Director: Hall Brothers, Martin, KY I contacted the funeral home and they said there is an obituary in the Floyd County Times, but because it said she had no surviving children, so they didn't copy it for me. However, if my theory is right and Siltania is her daughter, she would have been her only child. I'm curious as to what the rest of the obit said. Ky (Vol. 38; Certificate # 18768). The death certificate is indexed on Ancestry.com as Mardy Campbell, but obviously says Mandy. The death certificate lists cause of death as TB, parents John and Nancy Stephens of Prestonsburg, spouse, George Campbell. It doesn't list date of birth but she was 49, so estimated DOB 1896.
