    1. RE: [KYFLOYD] Where's the Floyd County Times online?
    2. Laura Hadfield
    3. A few days before Christmas there was a little blurb up on the site saying that they were redoing in and that they planned to have it up and running before Christmas. I look everyday and have begun to wonder if they meant Christmas of 2004! Just kidding...I would imagine that the development process was more than originally anticipated. I checked the FCT Yahoo group and there is no update there either. I miss reading the Times as well, lets hope they get it up and running again soon! 1. [KYFLOYD] Prayer request for Marlene (FC Researcher)
    2. Dear FC Friends and Cousins, I received this message today regarding a fellow Floyd County researcher, Marlene Suttles: "... I am asking for each of you to say a special prayer for a special friend of all of ours. Marlene has been very ill for a long time now i just heard she is in the hospital with a dim future ahead. I know she has a lot of friends on line and i want to ask you if you will take a moment of your time to remember her in prayer. She is in great need of her friends now. She has always been a good friend to me - always there to encourage me and listen, so please say a prayer for her and her family Sincerely, a friend, Erma Jackson" I pass this along in hopes that you will join me in praying for Marlene and her family. She is a very dear person and has been part of this forum for years. Marlene is a Click, Boyd, Howard, Hall descendent. She is the great-granddaughter of Mary "Polly" Hall (d/o Elijah Hall and Peggy Clark) and William R. Boyd (s/o John Jackson Boyd & Mary Woods) of Floyd County and Rowan County. .. It is my belief that she is the daughter of Frazier Patton and Joseph lived with his grandparents and his mother.I know david's book listed Frazier's daughter Nancy as the Nancy that married the Robinson. I was told through others that Joseph's father was Henderson Roberts. Nancy daughter Frances's death cert lists her father as B.B. Osborn. From what the family has told me on Frances i believe this may be reps Osborn. I have searched about 5 years now to connect these families and still found no proof . Do you have anything that proves Nancy was Fraziers daughter? Thankyou for posting Alicia

Joseph "Joel" Patton was the son of Nancy Patton, grandson of Frazier Patton. I am assuming that when the census takers arrived at the home of Frazier Patton on July 8, 1970, Joe/Joel was there to be counted. When the census takers arrived at Squire Lawson's home on August 13th, 1970, Joe/Joel was there to be counted. So... he isn't truly in two places at once. Just counted twice. Same thing happened with Nancy in the 1900 census. She is counted in both Joseph and Greenville's homes. See all my notes, below. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly. .
