I am currently trying to map the location of any and all churches established in old Floyd County before the year 1850. The church can be of any type (Baptist, Methodist, ect). I am also looking for early circuit routes that the ministers traveled. Old Floyd County now includes Floyd, Pike, Knott, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, Johnson, Lawrence, Morgan, Breathitt, Rowan, Wolfe, Elliott, Perry and Menifee counties. If anyone knows of a church established before 1850 in this area please contact me. I need the church name, year established, Association name, and location of the church.
