I have tried to find out who the Elizabeth Martin was in the 1860+ Floyd Co. KY census; I believe she connect to Simpson Martin who married Elizabeth Turner. I had been working with transcribed printed census records; but I found by going to the microfilm of the 1860 Floyd Co. KY Census that Elizabeth Martin's age was not transcribed correctly. Simpson Martin, question? did he marry again after he married Elizabeth Turner? Please see the census below, I hope you can help me with Simpson Martin and Elizabeth Martin. They lived in Coleman County (even though none of the decendants ever remembering hearing that they went there from LA. They were always told the Lindsey Ranch in or around Mills County. Have never located anything in Coleman County except census in 1880. No death cert or burial etc. Dr. Shaw's son Ebbin Flint Shaw married Jepsey Jones. Jepsey's father James Monroe Jones was son of A.J. Jones and Polly Hanna. Polly being daughter of Jesse P Hanna. I don't have my notes here, but that is how I think I have the connection to the Hanna's. Guess I will never locate any additional information on the Shaw's. Thanks for your response.

My family lived in the area from 1858 to 2001. Numerous cousins of one sort or another still live there. I recently photograph and recorded all the headstones in the Baby Head, Gray, Kuykendall, Montgomery and Cherokee "Hanna" cemeteries. If there is a look-up or a photo I can share with you, let me know. My direct ancestry is White, Whitt, Altizer and Gray, but these families married with nearly every other family that lived there.
